Charles E. Nicholson

Charles E. Nicholson (1868-1954) was one of Britain's most important yacht designers, working for the famous Camper & Nicholson yard. He was responsible for designing some of the most successful racing yachts of the early 20th century, including several America's Cup challengers. Nicholson was known for his innovative approach to hull design and his ability to create fast, seaworthy vessels. His designs ranged from small day-sailers to large ocean-going yachts, and many of his boats are still actively sailed today. Nicholson's influence on yacht design extended well beyond his lifetime, and his work continues to be studied by modern designers.
